NEW MATINÉES CRÉATIVES ACTIVITIES!
January 15, 2017
A calligram is a poem in which the writing is arranged to form a visual image. The MAJ offers this creative workshop that links visual and verbal imaginations. Participants will discover the art of words and the art of design!
January 29, 2017
During this workshop, participants will make a book that’s not for reading – an artist book with no text or images. The medium itself will be the artist’s message. It’s an ideal creative activity for developing the imagination.
STORIES, ART, AND HOT CHOCOLATE AT THE MUSEUM
February 12, 2017
During the MRC de Joliette’s Festi Glace, families are invited to come and hear storyteller Marie-Josée, of Bibliothèque Rina-Lasnier, tell winter tales that make you feel the cold and hear the ice cracking on the frozen ground. Marie-Josée’s stories spread warmth from the heart to the tip of the nose. Participants will then be invited to warm their hands by making an artwork inspired by the tale.
February 26, 2017
Inspired by the magnificent sculptures in the exhibition by Normand Forget, an artist from the Lanaudière region, participants will make their own original, colourful work that they may then display at home. This activity combines a visit to the museum with artistic creation!
