Activities Offered
Come and enjoy an unforgettable experience with your children as they are introduced to the visual arts through our latest exhibitions. In the company of our tour guides, they will discover the work of internationally famous artists by exploring the many disciplines of art: painting, sculpture, photography, drawing and installation. Round off your visit with a creativity workshop led by our dynamic team of instructors, where the children can try out the various techniques discussed in the galleries.

Tour and exploration workshop inspired by the Centuries of Images
Available at all times
Make the most of your time in the MAJ to take your pupils on a journey through early and contemporary art with a tour of the permanent display Centuries of Images, an exhibition worth seeing often which illustrates the major developments in image-making from the 14th century on. From painting and sculpture to photography, drawing, installation and the new media, this exhibition offers you an ideal opportunity to extend your knowledge of art and to discover the works of internationally renowned artists such as Rodin, Tousignant, Riopelle and Ozias Leduc. Take a delightful and light-hearted trip through the history of art!

For children ages 4 and 5: 85 minutes
For primary-school children: 90 minutes
Admission
Without workshop, groups of 10 children or more: $5 per child (tax included)
With workshop, groups of 10 children or more: $6 per child (tax included)
Free for accompanying adults (1 per 10 children)

School groups bringing their own meals can eat at the MAJ. Booking required.

Following your visit, you will be invited to fill in an evaluation form. Tell us about your MAJ experience and let us know how we may improve our activities.
Cancellation or change
No fee will be charged for cancellations more than 15 days before the event. For cancellations less than 15 days before, you will be charged 20% of the price.
Museum-plus-theatre programme

Culture at school
Financial Assistance Program
The Ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport established the financial assistance program Culture in the Schools to help make arts and culture more available to schools. Ask your school board now for information about the programme. You can obtain financial assistance for chartered transport to the Museum during the school year. The programme is designed for Quebec students in pre-school, primary and secondary (youth sector) from francophone or anglophone schools both public and private.
