To all members of the business community, the Musée d'art de Joliette needs your support!

By becoming a member of the MAJ, you will support its mission and contribute to the development of one of Quebec’s most distinguished museums. You will be playing an active part in your community as a citizen committed to offering the people of Lanaudière a first-class institution and cultural activities to match, thus contributing to the region’s dynamism and its tourist industry (more than 76 per cent of the tourists registered by the Joliette tourist information office visit the MAJ). As a corporate member you will be supporting the acquisition, conservation, showcasing and dissemination of early and contemporary artworks by artists from Lanaudière, Quebec, Canada and across the world. You will be contributing to the circulation of over 15 temporary exhibitions every year and helping to provide thousands of Lanaudière’s primary and secondary school students with special, first-hand access to art and culture. You are honouring the memory of Father Wilfrid Corbeil, C.S.V, who pioneered the establishment of an art museum in Joliette, and you are playing an active part in conserving one of the most important legacies of the Clercs de Saint-Viateur in Lanaudière.

With its extensive collection, innovative programmes, exhibitions that tour Quebec, Canada and abroad and its educational, cultural and community-oriented activities, the MAJ has won numerous awards and over the years has built up a solid reputation, becoming a leading player on the art scene in Quebec. Your contribution will enable the Museum to pursue its mission by presenting exhibitions of international calibre that reflect our enthusiasm, daring and creative vitality.
