THE MAJ WELCOMES WAYUPWAYDOWN

Lovers of art books will be pampered this winter! The MAJ will host the travelling exhibition Titles VI organized by the collective WayUpWayDown. For each edition of this event, the organizers invite a group of artists, architects and designers to create book-related works and to place them at the disposal of the public, adapting the layout of these pieces according to the venue. The new creations are incorporated into the exhibition, which then travels to another destination.
This time it is artists connected to the Lanaudière region or to the Musée who have been invited to present a book that deals with his or her chosen subject. Works by Christian Audet, Grant Collins, Marie-Didace Doyon, Josée Fafard, Jérôme Fortin, Benoit Joly, Éric Ladouceur, Olivier Longpré, Louise Mercure, Hélène Roy, Carlos Zauny and Atelier Louis-Charles Lasnier will consequently take their place alongside some fifty works executed for previous editions of Titles.
This project reflects the organizers’ interest in connecting and sharing with local communities through a direct exchange of works, ideas and knowledge. This is the sixth edition of the exhibition Titles, which was first presented at Balfour Books, Toronto, in 2007. WayUpWayDown, a collective of curators, is comprised of Sunny Kerr, Yam Lau and Tania Ursomarzo.
