- Temporary Exhibitions (from September 30, 2023 to January 14, 2024):
Performance by the duo Geneviève Matthieu
From 2:30 to 4 p.m.
The duo Geneviève Matthieu, in residence at the MAJ from September 25 to 29, will present a performance entitled Danseprophétiqueàl’îlebizarre.
Presence of the artists and curators
From 1 to 5 p.m.
The artists and curators will be present in the exhibition rooms to meet the visitors.
Publication launch – Encounters
Starting at 1 p.m.
Artist Chloé Desjardins will be in attendance for the launch of the catalog of her 2021 exhibition at the Musée d’art de Joliette. The publication will be on sale at the Musée boutique during the opening, and the artist will be available for a signing session.
Welcome address in the Main Hall
Starting at 1:30 p.m.
Join us at 1:30 p.m. in the hall to hear the MAJ team, curators and artists talk about the new temporary exhibitions.
Creative workshop
From 1 to 4 p.m.
In the company of a mediator, families are invited to draw inspiration from the works of art in the Museum’s collection to create stories full of twists and turns!

A lunch to order
Reserve a lunch from the Joliette restaurant Ras le bol and pick it up when you arrive at the Museum, upon presentation of your ticket. You will have the choice of enjoying it at the following locations
- In the Hall Famille Martin on the first floor
- in the Espace créatif Desjardins on the second floor
- on the Liliane et David M. Stewart terrace on the second floor

Departure from Montreal: 11 a.m. from the Gare d’autocars de Montréal, (Métro Berri-UQAM, 1717 rue Berri) – DOCK #12
Departure from Joliette: 4:30 p.m. at the Musée d’art de Joliette (arrival in Montreal planned for 5:30 p.m.).
Reservation is mandatory.
15$ (including a beer, cocktail or soft drink **wine not included** at the event)
You can also reserve a lunch from the Joliette restaurant Ras le bol (in the next steps of this reservation) and pick it up when you arrive at the Museum.
