Send a postcard

After each visit, you can send an original postcard to your friends and loved ones. The project, which explores the sense of belonging to the land, was created by Joliette residents originally from Chad, Colombia and Venezuela and implemented by photographer Steeve Duguay and the MAJ team. The postcards, inspired by the self-portrait aesthetic of artist Jin-me Yoon, showcase Lanaudière’s warm hospitality.

Artists-photographers: Evrad Ndikilembale, Alejandro Vacca, Laura Vergara, Maria Jose C. Vergara, Marisol Vergara et Jacobo Victoria.

Protest at the MAJ

The socially conscious banners by artists Christi Belcourt and Isaac Murdoch are calls to action and protest. In the same activist spirit, the MAJ team invites you to find your own cause and add a meaningful message to a collective work to be installed on the museum’s second floor.

Share #SouvenirsdeJoliette

Here’s a novel and artistic way to explore the museum’s exhibitions. The activity is inspired by the photographic series Souvenirs of the Self by Jin-me Yoon, comprising self-portraits sketched in front of well-known tourist attractions. The MAJ team adopted the idea for this fun photographic scavenger hunt in the museum. Post your photos on social media, using the tag #SouvenirsdeJoliette.
