By Gérard Durozoi, Philippe Cyroulnik and René Viau

Publication dedicated to the nearly forty year career of a Canadian artist living in France. Born in the flurry of new ideas that swept through Montréal in the 1960s, Noêl’s oeuvre has always been marked by a relationship with sculpture that is rich yet paradoxical. His early use of plexiglass, vinyl, and photography enabled him to create numerous interventions that challenged, and transcended received ideas. An important essay, an interview and dozens of colour illustrations document his work through to the late 1990s. Co-published with Le 19, Centre Régional d’Art Contemporain, Montbéliard, France. In French with English translations.
