Acceptance of the Terms of Use

The Musée d’art de Joliette operates museejoliette.org. All purchases made through the website are governed by the terms of use outlined below.

General Terms and Conditions – Online Purchasing

Account Creation

To make an online purchase, you can create an account using the following information: first and last name, email address, phone number, and a password. By creating an account, you can view your tickets online, make payment easier for future purchases, and add pieces from our collections to your favourites. If you’re a Member, you can also book tickets free of charge and benefit from preferential rates on activities.

Privacy

We do everything in our power to protect the personal information we receive. To find out about the measures our institution takes, please check our Privacy Policy.

That being said, you are responsible for protecting the privacy of your account, personal information, and password. The MAJ will not be held liable for any damages resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

Prices and Sales Taxes

Prices shown on our website are in Canadian dollars. Ticket and membership prices include taxes. To find out how much tax you’re paying, check your shopping cart at checkout or your electronic receipt. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time without notice.

Donations

You can donate when making a purchase online. Donations of $20 or more are eligible for a tax receipt. The receipt will be sent to you in a separate email after your purchase.

Specific Terms and Conditions – Online Ticket Purchasing

  • Once you purchase your tickets online, you’ll receive an email confirming your order, as well as a second email with your tickets attached in PDF format (one ticket per page).
  • You can access galleries directly using your online admission ticket without visiting our ticket counter.
  • Tickets are valid for the date selected during the transaction. If unused, they remain valid for a later date.
  • Online ticket purchases cannot be refunded, except in the event of a billing error on our part. In such cases, refunds will be issued through the same payment method that was used for the purchase.
  • To use a pass, a discount coupon, or your partner discount (member, association, etc.), please contact Visitor and Community Services by calling 450 756-0311 or come to the MAJ.

Specific Terms and Conditions – Online Membership

  • As soon as you purchase a membership online, an account will be created for you automatically if you haven’t already created one. You will receive an email confirming its creation.
  • After purchasing a (new, renewed, or gift) membership online, you’ll receive an email confirming the transaction. The membership is valid for the period chosen (one or two years), starting from the purchase date.
  • You’ll receive your Member card by mail within two (2) to four (4) weeks of purchase. In the meantime, you can still take advantage of your exclusive privileges by using your active Member number, which can be accessed through your account.
  • If the membership is a gift, it must be activated by the recipient. Once you purchase the gift, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a document to email to your chosen recipient, who will then be able to activate their own membership.
  • Membership cards, as well as the benefits and discounts they provide, are non-transferrable and can only be used by the Member themselves.
  • Membership is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a third party, even in the event of death. Online membership purchases cannot be refunded, except in the event of a billing error on our part. In such cases, refunds will be issued through the same payment method that was used for the purchase.
