For over twenty five years Ed Pien has developed a fantastic pictorial language with his drawings, paper cut-outs and installations. This abundantly illustrated publication documents two exhibitions, one in Canada and one in the United States, featuring new work. Two essays explore each of the exhibitions while a third outlines the fundamental importance of drawing in all Pien’s work from the beginning of his career. Ed Pien has exhibited nationally and internationally including the Drawing Centre (New York), Contemporary Art Gallery (Vancouver), The Contemporary Art Museum (Monterrey, Mexico), and The Goethe Institute (Berlin).
